Job Hunting

I am not going to be returning next year to the school where I worked this year. I really like the kids, but it just isn't the school for me, so I'm job hunting again. There are a couple of high school openings in the same district, so I'll start with those and keep my fingers crossed.

A new car

We've been saving up for a while now, and today Shel, her dad, and I drove to Sacramento and bought her a new Yaris S sedan. It's not exactly the color she wanted, but otherwise we're pleased so far and I was surprised at how little hassle it was getting a deal we could live with and buy the car in just one day.

I can recommend Maita Toyota of Sacramento. The treated us reasonably.

I'm not done rambling. I just took a 23-day hiatus.

A promise of updates to come

As most of my regular readers already know, we did finally get the Ikea bookcase and have been busily working to assemble it and rearrange the room in which we spend almost all of our time. I will post before and after, as well as at least one in-process photo as soon as we're done.
